Trials

IVMP will trial strategies using selected plant growth regulators, herbicides and nutrition. Combining these management tools with mowing and other activities, IVMP aims to determine the activities that best suit the species composition present in each classification of mown vegetation.

The trials aim to improve the undesirable species composition to a desirable, and more manageable, species composition.

IVMP trials will focus on:

amenity horticulture
roadside vegetation environments
mown vegetation in open space areas
parkland and roadside areas that border environmental areas
state and local government owned areas

Trials will take place in:

Brisbane
Gold Coast
Sydney

Trials will be replicated at research facilities in Queensland and NSW over three growing seasons.

Trial results

Positive findings from this project will be shared via website, blog and email newsletter - and implemented as soon as practicable.
